El Verbo Ir=To Go
-In Spanish, the verb
Ir needs “a” to say what you
are going to do
(in an infinitive form)…
It breaks down like this:
Ir+a+infinitive
Like this: Voy a bailar.
-In Spanish, the verb
Ir needs “a la” or “al” to say where you are going.
The one you use,
depends on the gender of the “place” to
which you are going.
Ex. Voy a la escuela.
(a la because escuela
is feminine)
Voy al banco.
(al because banco
is masculine)
